Raghda Gamal is a 27 year old journalist and poetess. Since 2008 she has been working as a journalist for several Yemeni newspapers in both Arabic and English languages, and in recognition of her outstanding work in journalism field; she has been honored six times by five different ministers.

She published her first collection of poetry “Lost in a fairy tale” in March 2011, which is the first Yemeni collection of poems that issued in English. Then, in September 2012; she published her second collection of poems and photos “Once upon a Revolution” and held the “book signing ceremony” in Change Square during the Yemeni revolution.
