Poetry Corner _ Twenty One

Twenty-one

Twenty-one years has gone
and I'm still waiting
in my mom's lap…
Asking her about the real world
waiting for the right answers…

Time is all we need
To forgive..
To forget…
And to pretend that would
never happen…
Time is all we need

Oh, Mommy
I get tired from waiting
Twenty-one years has gone
And we're still waiting…
The light to break the darkness
The joy to break the sadness
And the LIFE to break
Our internal silence…
